A Bit About Vincent Santeng

Vincent Santeng, the co-founder and partner of PMCT Accountants and Consultants, is a highly accomplished professional with a remarkable educational background. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma from a prestigious London University, an MBA from Manchester Business School, and is a Fellow with the ACCA. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants - Ghana (ICAG). ​

With an impressive experience spanning over 35 years, Vincent is widely recognized as an expert in financial market products and strategy. His diverse career includes roles as an investment banker, accountant, consultant, business analyst, risk manager, software designer, and data analyst, compliance manager, project manager, and program director. As a consultant, he has worked across Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and the USA. ​

Vincent has successfully led numerous global programs and project implementations, notably including Basel 1, 1.5, and 2 implementations for UK, European, and Asian banks. He has also contributed to significant projects such as resolving software issues related to the 2000 millennium, converting legacy currencies of EU member states to the Euro during the inception of the European Union single currency system, implementing Swift ISO 15022 for banks and clearing houses, managing repo clearing and lending for stock markets of global stock exchanges, and implementing Basel 2 for a UK-based global bank. ​

In the realm of IT, Vincent has focused on software architecture and development, overseeing the creation of trading software solutions for software vendors and banks, including bespoke solutions. He is the founder of Absolute Financial Software Solution (AFSS), a renowned financial markets software house. ​

Vincent has played a pivotal role in defining structured capital and money market products, including aspects like accounting treatment, mark to market valuation, and hedging strategies. He has been responsible for specifying and managing the development of various financial products, such as repurchase agreements, commercial lending, emerging markets, equity, bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange (FX), structured debt and collateralised instruments, loans, and deposits. ​

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Vincent has also served as a trainer, sharing his knowledge with accountants, compliance officers, risk managers, business analysts, and software developers.
